Dan hat mir via ebay geantwortet.

Wir haben die Kommunikation auf normalen E-Mail-Versand umgestellt.
Habe ihm nochmal die Geschichte erzählt und ein paar Fragen gestellt:

How can we proceed ?
Is there a minimum number that has to be ordered initially ?
Will the price be similar to the B airbox rubbers (around 40 GB pounds per pair) ?
What is a typical timeframe to reproduce them until they are available (rough estimate is ok) ?
What is the country of origin ?
Anything else ?

Servus Männer und Weibersleut (sofern wir hier welche haben),
jetzt wird es ernst !

Dan kann die Ansaugstutzen herstellen, es muß aber eine initiale Bestellung über 50 Paar eingehen, damit er sie für den Preis von 40 GBP, also etwa 50 Euro (pro Paar) anbieten kann, zzgl. Versandkosten !
Ich habe Andy (Kaptainkwak) mit in die Kommunikation eingebunden, sein englisch ist halt besser als meins ;-)
Er hat sich auch schon mit Dan telefonisch in Verbindung gesetzt.

Hier ein Auszug aus Dans E-Mail:
As we discussed if the two of you can take 50 sets in one go yes I can produce them for £40 a pair. If

left and right hand are the same item. plus any postage at cost. Any tooling costs is included in the pricing
if the part isn't handed.
 
once I've received a good quality sample from you it would take 8-10 weeks to produce the 50 pairs.
 
Michael I have agreed to send a pair of B model rubbers to Andy for him to check over. I'm very confident
you will both be happy with them.
 
I can also produce the inlet rubbers as well if needs be. If there is any other rubber parts that can be made it
should be straight forward enough as long as you have a good sample, Tank rubbers, Grommets etc.….

Ich frage nochmal nach, ob die Mindestmenge niedriger sein kann, was wohl zu höheren Preisen führen wird.
Halte euch auf dem Laufenden und werde wohl demnächst eine Umfrage starten, um verbindliche Bestellungen abzufragen.
Ich selber kann keine 50 Paar für zusammen ca. 2.500,- Euro bestellen !

Das ist dann wieder das alte Problem. Dachte er macht es wie bei den B Stutzen. Da hatte er ja auch keine Bestellung über 50 Stück bevor er an die Produktion ging. Daher war ich der Annahme, dass er das unternehmerische Risiko auch bei den LTD Stutzen trägt.

Klar ich würde ein Paar nehmen, aber 50 bekommen wir nicht zusammen. Wobei ich den Preis für mehr als fair empfinde.

I spoke to Dan today.

He has invested nearly £500,000 in Kawasaki, Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha bikes over a few years. He does not make these parts himself. He knows the people who make parts and can get parts made that currently nobody else does. He supplies what other people make.

He had the B rubbers made because of a verbal promise from another person. This person bought 10 pairs and then was not to be seen again so he has  100 pairs left.

As i am sure you know the biggest initial cost to make parts is the tooling. His prices and quantities are to first make sure his costs are covered and that is why the minimum quantity is 50 to be able to sell at £40.

Sadly our need is small compared to other classic bikes. We can not force the price to be small because we want many parts.

I have asked about the cost of tooling. Maybe this can make the cost and quantity smaller.

We will keep you informed as things happen.

Hallo Werner,

man müsste alle im Forum registrierten Mitglieder eine Mail bezüglich der Option zukommen lassen.
Da nicht alle ständig online sind, bzw. nicht mehr aktuell, bzw. etc. ;
gibt es über die Software nicht doch eine Möglichkeit sämtliche Mitglieder per direkter Mail zu erreichen? Also nicht einzeln, sondern per "Rundruf":
Z.B. statt Beitragsmitteilung eine über die Registrierung?
Denke da jeder, ob "B" oder LTD-Fahrer davon betroffen ist, sich ob der Mail nicht geschlipsgetreten fühlt.
Eventuell wären auf diese Weise die notwendigen 50 Paar zu realisieren.

ich will das Thema mal wieder reaktivieren, um nachzufragen was der aktuelle Stand ist?

Ich habe wahrscheinlich eine Alternative aufgetan, falls das mit dem Anbieter aus England nichts wurde.

Über ein anderes Forum bin ich mit einem Spezialisten für Teilebau bekannt geworden. der Typ ist beruflich damit beschäftigt und entwickelt privat Bauteile für Mopedfahrer.
Hier mal ein Link was der schon so alles entwickelt hat. Einfach mal statt nach Multistrada nach triumph, KTm etc. suchen, das meiste davon ist von dem.

Das geile daran ist, die Teile gibt es in Kunststoff, Edelstahl-Guss und Alu. Wobei Alu wohl schweine teuer ist.
Seine Idee nun: Er bekommt einen Satz Stutzen als Muster und entwickelt das notwendige 3D-Programm. Dann wird das Programm bei dem Anbieter hoch geladen und eine entsprechende Negativform erstellt. Diese kann dann von jedem x-belibigen Formenbauer oder sogar in Heimarbeit mit der passenden Gießmasse ausgegossen werden.

Die Negativformen sind total günstig, da der Anbieter, wenn man eine fertiges 3D Programm hat nur Material und Größe in der Maschine berechnet. Nach seinen Erfahrungen sollten wir da mit 150 Euro für beide Stutzen hinkommen.

Ich lass mir gerade eine zusätzliche Schaltereinheit für meine Geländemaschine von Ihm entwickeln, um die Ansteuerung und LEDs für meinen Kettenöler unterzubringen. Kosten ca. 25 EURO. Das ist ne echt geile Sache was man da alles machen kann.

That's hot Because The parts are available in plastic, stainless steel and cast aluminum , Where aluminum is probably expensive pork.

I just let me an additional switch unit for my road bike from him develop to accommodate the driver and LEDs for my chain oiler. Costs about 25 EURO. That's a really cool thing thatthere is to do everything.

This has not moved in the UK. The situation is sadly stopped because of a minimum number to order. He would sell for £ 40 a pair if we ordered 50 pairs. That is £ 2000th Sadly not enough people had an interest to make it worthwhile to purchase.
